MODERN ELONGATED HEAD — Avant-Garde Bronze Sculpture
Model Description
Modern Elongated Head is an avant-garde sculptural statement piece drawing inspiration from early 20th-century modernist expressionism (evoking the proportions of Modigliani and Giacometti). Characterized by its gracefully elongated neck, planar facial geometry, and sleek geometric coiffure, this piece delivers an imposing architectural presence and refined gallery aesthetic.
The contrast between the warm, patinated bronze flesh tones and the dark, segmented slate-like headpiece creates a dynamic interplay of light, shadow, and texture. Engineered with a stable integrated conical base, this collectible asset is ready for standalone display in high-end residential interiors, gallery pedestals, or design studios.
Features & Highlights
Watertight & Clean Topology: Uniform digital geometry suitable for ultra-high-resolution resin printing or smooth FDM production.
⚠️ DISCLAIMER: PHYSICAL TEST NOTICE
Please note: These recommended slicer settings, orientation angles, and support structures are theoretical baseline parameters derived from digital geometry analysis. These settings have NOT been physically test-printed.
- FDM (Filament) Setup Orientation: Upright on the flat bottom of the conical base. Layer Height: 0.12 mm – 0.16 mm (0.12 mm recommended for smooth layer transitions on the elongated neck and curved coiffure). Wall Perimeters: 3 – 4 (1.2 mm – 1.6 mm total wall thickness for rigidity and weight at the base). Infill: 10% – 15% (Gyroid or Adaptive Cubic; consider using a gradient infill modifier with higher density at the lower 20% for added base stability). Top / Bottom Layers: 4 Top / 4 Bottom. Supports: Required. Support Type: Tree / Organic Supports. Overhang Angle: 55°. Placement Areas: Beneath the chin, under the ear lobes, and under the posterior overhang of the hair bun. Build Plate Adhesion: Skirt (or a 5 mm Brim if printing at tall scales to ensure bed stability during high Z-axis travel). ---
- SLA / DLP (Resin) Setup Orientation: Angled at 30° – 45° tilting backward to minimize cross-sectional suction forces across the neck. Layer Height: 0.03 mm – 0.05 mm. Hollowing: Highly recommended (
2.0 mm – 2.5 mmwall thickness). Drainage Holes: Minimum 2 holes (3–4 mm diameter) positioned on the flat underside of the conical base. Support Strategy: Heavy supports on the lowest point of the base/neck, transitioning to medium supports under the chin and back of the head, and light supports on the ears.
