7 Heads, 18 Arms, and 10 Torsos – essential kitbashing pieces for your bastard-knights in the world of Turnip28, created by British artist Max FitzGerald.
"The earth's rumble travels through the soles of my tattered boots, as if the ground itself rises to meet their hooves. In the smoky gray haze, reeking of rot and ash, grotesque silhouettes flicker: helmets stretched into distorted, grotesque shapes, and spears radiating an aura of lifeless rigidity. I clutch my musket to my chest, but my hands betray me, trembling like stalks in the wind. Somewhere in the distance, the hoarse shriek of a snob echoes, reminiscent of a drowning man’s final cry.
The cavalry draws near, their thunderous hooves merging into an unrelenting, dreadful drumbeat pounding in my temples and throat. With every moment, my boots sink deeper into the mud, reeking of defeat. For a fleeting instant, I think I see their eyes through the slits of their visors—eyes hollow as black holes in a rotting potato. The shout of "Fire!" comes too late, and the muskets crack chaotically, barely louder than the brittle snap of a dead twig underfoot.
Bullets fly aimlessly, like the last remnants of hope we've long since abandoned. And then, in an instant, they loom over us like the shadow of a monstrous scarecrow. I barely glimpse a heraldic ribbon dangling from someone's armor before everything dissolves into choking gasps, the deluge of hooves, the splintering of bones, the clash of steel, and the stench of death."
